We were driving back to Manchester from Anglesey and dropped off the A55 for some supper. The reviews were positive so we gave it a try. We were greeted by 3 lovely girls plus the friendly owner who served up deliciously fresh haddock in a lovely crisp batter with a generous portion of perfectly cooked chips. Well worth a visit if you’re passing through the Holywell area.

Only reopened 1 week ago. We went today and had the most fabulous freshly cooked cod & haddock x 4 with chips, peas & curry sauce. All made fresh to order, lovely portions and beautiful fish. Chatted with owner who used to run chippy’s down London and loved chatting to the girls (staff) really polite. Highly recommend.

Was worried I wouldn't like it since it has changed ownership, but omg it was absolutely gorgeous! Will definitely be a regular place for our chippy tea. Nice and clean with a warm welcome. Highly recommend.

New ownership maybe? Different staff at least. The food was proper chippy food tonight, best in Holywell in my opinion. We had pie, chips, mushy peas with curry sauce and a fish on the side. It was all delicious, deffo hit the spot

We are visiting Holywell and wanted to try a few takeaways (it saves cooking) we thought Maggies kitchen was permanently shut according to the Internet so we were looking at getting fish & chips from Davies chippy but they are only open on Thursdays & Fridays?? When we went for a walk we stumbled on Maggies kitchen and it was open? They had various opening times but we went on a Wednesday and they were open till 8pm. We went at 5.30pm and got fish, chips, mushy peas. Pie chips and gravy, it was really good, crispy batter (done in veg oil) well cooked fish, mushy peas were really tasty. Hubby enjoyed the pie, chips & gravy, said it was all cooked well and tasty. Really good portions too, couldn't eat all the chips but we heated up later for supper. We can not fault this chippy but they need to advertise that they are open and the times. Very pleasant staff too and reasonable prices. Thanks 👍

Haven't had fish and chips that good in a while. Even survived the trip down the A55 to Ewloe. Absolutely lovely food!.piping hot fish, crispy batter and mushy peas that actually had peas in. Really good prices and friendly staff. Absolutely working their socks off. Cant fault the place, thank you 😁
